Never been to a ups store that charges $1 a 10 inch piece of tape to close a box.
All the employees are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. As an an Elon student I highly recommend getting a mailbox at this store instead of dealing with the delays at the mail center on campus.
So I decided to have a package delivered to this location because it is close to my home and I have used it before and was completely satisfied with the experience. When I arrived to the store there were 3 employees working and a line which I understand because there is apparently only one computer for package sign out. I was asked my name and the lady went to retrieve my package (No ID Check???)which was located at the bottom of a pile located to the right of the desk. Mind you this is a laptop I was picking up and it was located under 3 other orders, on the floor. $600 laptop just laying on the floor. So when I asked the associate Jennifer if I would be able to look at my merchandise to verify it was not broken as it had been under other boxes on the floor, she stated that she could not let me do that because once I opened the box it was the same as signing and if there was any damage I would have to take it up with UPS. Is this not the UPS store? To which she stated yeah the store not UPS which to me is a little confusing as all your uniforms and entire store is stamped with the UPS logo. I said fine and sign when I asked for a copy of my pick up confirmation you would have thought I asked Jennifer for her social security number because she gave me the look of a deer in headlights. I was then told to wait for Kathy that she would be right back. After waiting about 30 minutes I asked for the customer service number to which I was given a card with the store number and was told by Jennifer that she did not know or have access to a corporate or customer care number. I left my name and number and email with Jennifer who stated she would have Kathy give me a call before the close of business needless to say I am still waiting on a call from Kathy. Terrible customer service! Manager should not have been out of store if associates are not properly trained to do their job! Jennifer may have been unable to locate corporates number but I did via Google!
My daughter ended up not moving to the address in New York and they helped me track it to the hub where it was located. Thank you so much for your help!
