Cara is the best stylist ever! Excellent product selection and helpful, friendly staff.
This rating speaks only to the salon services and more particularly the “skin therapist” Destiny. She seems a little nervous while doing eyebrows. She waxed, trimmed, and plucked on eyebrow before doing anything to the other. Once she moved on to the second eyebrow, she realized they were not symmetrical because she was not able to compare along the way. She then had to go back to correct the first eyebrow which consisted her re-waxing. She plucked my skin rather than hair several times. I will not be going back to her.
Also, many of the product testers that are out for customers to try are expired and disgusting when u open them.
And a couple of the girls working could be more friendly. They arent very friendly here and seem a bit snooty and judgmental. I came in the store wearing sweatpants and sandals because I was exhausted that day &I felt a bit judged. Two of the workers I saw giving me a snotty look as they looked down at my worn out sandals. I was very uncomfortable shopping. But no matter how I looked that day, my money still spends the same as anyone else.
Very sad to say I'm disappointed in this location. Their products are extremely expensive, many of them are over-priced because they're supposed to come with small free gifts. But the free gifts are very rarely offered to you, you have to ask (which you shouldn't have to do) and most of the time they tell you they're outta that certain free gift. The last 3 times I've visited this has happened to me. I bought a product that cost about $7 more at Ulta than it did on the maker's website, at Walmart, Walgreens or most other places u can buy it &I was told it's because it comes with a free gift. But that unfortunately they're outta stock of it. And when I made a comment that it kinda sucks to have to pay $7 extra for a product and not receive my free gift, the girl looked at me like I was crazy &she didn't apologize for the inconvenience. I asked if since they're outta that certain free gift that goes with my product if they can swap and give me a different free gift so that I'm not overpaying that $7 for nothing. She says "No, we're not allowed to do that" and had no remorse for me overpaying and not receiving any free gift at all. I've been to this Ulta beauty many times &I've only been given my free gift with one purchase.. and I believe it was nearly expired. It was the Exuviance microdermabraison &it came out dry and chunky. I believe this store is in need of new management. It's very unprofessional not to keep the free gifts in stock, &to not keep them fresh. It's unfair to be forced to pay these higher prices for no reason. You're better off ordering the products online straight from the company that makes them, without that high retail mark-up price. Also, I once asked one of the girls working which hair product would suit me best for my damaged dry hair. She wasn't very knowledgeable about all of the products and because they carry so many products I felt too overwhelmed to choose one (they're way too expensive to just buy one to test) &I ended up leaving empty-handed.
I go here to get skincare products every month and the staff are very helpful when I tell them what I am looking for.
Kind employees that are super helpful. ULTA apparently doesn't always receive the "freebies" for purchasing
Please retrain management and workers at this location. I feel like that would truly benefit your store. Thank you.
